A Path to Healing, Guided by Tradition

YHC was established to ensure access to effective, culturally relevant care for members of the Navajo Nation. Developed with “Navajo Healing Navajo” as its foundation, YHC offers culturally relevant care for members of The Navajo Nation, addressing intergenerational trauma through a trauma-informed care model.

The YHC Residential Program offers an immersive, culturally grounded healing experience designed to serve Diné (Navajo) relatives and family members navigating substance use and behavioral health challenges. Working under the guidance of DBMHS Traditional Practitioners, we integrate traditional practices such as healing circles, GONA Principles, the Navajo Wellness Model and evidence-based care with SAMHSA best-practices.

Wellness Through
Culture, Spirit, and Care

Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫ́ǫ́jí Center (YHC) combines urban treatment services with the cultural expertise of DBMHS practitioners to provide holistic, culturally rooted care. Through this partnership, traditional healing practices are integrated across both urban and rural programs, ensuring that all clients receive consistent, Diné-centered support on their path to recovery.
